3 Examples of Tiny Victories that Bring me Joy

Thank You for Sharing:

When I started brainstorming for this post, the prompt “I find joy in….” from Tuesdays @Ten, took me to a lot of deep and good places. I quickly realized if I am ever going to finish in time to actually link up, I’d better switch gears and take the more light hearted approach.  Of course the joy of the Lord is my strength and He blesses3 Examples of How God Blesses me with Tiny Victories that Bring me Joy :) me with family and motherhood and LIFE! For this today’s post though, I must say that I take joy in the simple victories in life.

It’s the little things that truly spark joy in my heart sometimes, and thankfully God grants us such opportunities everywhere we go.  Without further ado, here are 3 examples of tiny random victories that put an extra spring in my step and a smile of my face. 😀

  • It’s one thing to put my shopping cart away, but it’s another if I can manage to propel it into the corral in such a way that it lines up with the others perfectly. Bonus points if it connects some of the broken links in the cart chain 😉
  • When my preparation pays off, especially if it I initially intended it for someone else.  For example, there was a week or two my husband struggled to get out of the door for work after the time change. So I turned the car around to face outward, hoping to save him a few extra seconds.  He ended up taking his motorcycle instead, so when I used the car later that day I thought to myself, “why thank-you Cookie, don’t mind if I do”.  🙂
  • That moment when my mama bear instinctual reflexes crash into my sleep deprived coordination for an intricate dance of “ut-oh I think I dropped something, shoot! it’s gonna fall, but wait I got it, except now I bumped something else….no worries, I caught it with my elbow”. No need to panic y’all…..it’s all good in the neighborhood.

So there you have it, a little insight into how the simple blessings in life bring me joy.  It’s so tempting and easy to fall into a rut of exhaustion mixed anxiety, but when we remember it’s not all on our shoulders, we start to see all the little ways God sprinkles His love for us throughout the day.

The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. – Psalm 28:7

How about you? What are the little victories in your life? Maybe something else brings you joy.  Please join us by linking with Karen at Tuesdays @ Ten or simply sharing your thoughts in the comments below! 🙂

  1. Thankful for the unintentional ability to make the babies giggle after a day of not so good nap times 🙂

    1. Aww!! Few things bring joy so quickly and surely as baby giggles, what a blessing indeed! I can’t think of the exact scripture reference right now, but the first thought that came to mind reading your comment was “laughter doth like a good medicine” 🙂 Hopefully they’ll sleep for you soon!

    1. So true! My mom really enjoys mowing the yard, my husband likes labeling his sound equipment, and my boys seems to just enjoy making messes 🙂 What are some examples in your life Tessa?
