Thank You for Sharing:

Woo Hoo! This is our first give away here at Grace Within the Race and I am pleased to officially announce that we are OPEN FOR ENTRIES!!!

UPDATE: We have a WINNER!!! If the randomly selected winner fails to respond within a few days, I will notify the chosen runner up! 🙂 Thank you all so much for participating and making my first review a success! I hope you give Seeds Family Worship a try and check out their online store. What a blessing it’s been to see so many of y’all interested in God’s Word. Hallelujah!!

What’s the Prize?

Abstractly, God’s word in your heart and on your mind. Concretely, your very own copy of the amazing Seeds of Courage DVD  (on sseeds of courageale now for $19.97).  I purchased my own a few months ago along with the CD version and we LOVE it.  As word-for-word scripture songs, Seeds Family Worship offers a fun way to learn great verses and enjoy good music. Soon I’ll post my review on the Courage DVD and how our family likes to make use of it, but you can check out their You Tube Channel to get your own feel for the ministry.

When is Giveaway Open?

Since this is our first giveaway, I want to make sure everyone has plenty of time to enter, so we’re looking at June 1st – June 15th 2015.  I’ll do my best to announce the winner the following day and give y’all a few days to claim your prize before I select a runner-up.

How Do I Enter?

I’m new to giveaways, so I’m trying out the free version of Rafflecopter to see how I like it. Any feedback in this regard would be amazing 🙂 Ok, so to enter :

  1. Sign in to the Rafflecopter widget with your name and email (or Facebook if that’s easier).  This is the only way to officially enter into the giveaway!Seeds of Courage Giveaway @

  3. Click on the ones you want to complete, and follow the instructions. Please note that it is not enough to just click the green buttons; you must also complete the task to earn the points.
  4. The more tasks you complete, the more times your name goes in the hat to increase your chances of winning.  Some of the options can only be completed once, others can be entered daily for more chances.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Though I purchased my own Courage DVD set to enjoy and later review, Seeds Family Worship has generously offered to donate THIS Courage DVD to my readers. The opinions and thoughts I express here and in my review are my own and I am not paid, reimbursed or otherwise profit in anyway from Seeds Family Worship (this includes links). I’m still learning what the legalities of a giveaway are, but I just want you to know the winner will be picked at random through Rafflecopter and Seeds Family Worship will mail the prize.

I am so excited!! I can’t wait to read your comments and soon announce the winner! WOO HOO!!

    1. Thank you Brandi so much for joining the giveaway and stopping by! I’m with you and think we all can relate to the struggle, that’s one reason I love scripture based music…you don’t have to schedule it into your day, just pop it in while preparing a meal or driving with the kiddos and before you know it, you’ve got some verses memorized!

  1. My family has just started. My daughters have learning disabilities, so I think I have tried everything under the sun and it’s still a challenge! This sounds like a cool tool to try.

    1. Hi Gina, I think it’s wonderful that you continue to look for ways to incorporate God’s word into your families learning despite difficulties! I believe that with all kids, even if they don’t exactly have it memorized in their brains, anything we do to expose them to it helps store it up in their heart. If you want to try them out before the giveaway is announced, I suggest checking out their You Tube Channel. We listened to them there until the “new” wore off and we still enjoyed them, so I went ahead and made the purchase. Thank you some much for joining our giveaway and stopping by! 🙂

    1. Thanks for the great feedback Abi! A concert sounds fun and I’m glad to hear I chose wisely with Rafflecopter. I’m so glad to hear you like the blog name, as I was concerned about potential confusion for a runner’s site or something. It’s just been such a busy season that Hebrews 12:1 really spoke to me and the name fit perfectly 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi Cookie! I would love to be able to gift this to my daughter who’s a missionary in Kenya. Between my 4 beautiful granddaughters and the children in the school they’ve started, “Masai Christian Academy” I know it would be well loved. <3

    1. Oh Marsha that would be awesome! The DVD has some hand movements to dance along with it that I think would be extra fun to incorporate with larger groups. I made sure to add a daily option under “just stopping by” to help out my regular readers 😉

  3. Our toddler can’t read yet, so I’m always looking for ways to teach him God’s Word. Seeds of Courage would be a great addition to our music library.

    1. Yes! Babies pick up and understand language long before they can articulate a response, so you’re doing awesome Mama searching for good exposure opportunities 🙂

My family learns scripture by reading the bible together and talking about it.

  5. I am by myself now at 56 years old and before i get out of bed I ask God every morning what he plans for me today. I also read my devotionals. Im getting more into Bible study this year

    1. Kathy, I love that even before leaving bed you ask for direction so you can start the day with the right heart, perspective and path! I need to follow in your footsteps rather than waiting until after my coffee. Which devotional do you use? I’m on the hunt for a new one since I’m only a week or so away from wrapping up Jesus Calling. Thank you so much for commenting!

    1. Ooh Liza, I love that idea! I’ve used a memory card to review math facts, but I never thought about using it for scriptures! Thank you for sharing such a fun idea 🙂

  6. I had heard of Seeds of worship, but I was still unsure about purchasing from them. Your review convinced me to give them a try! Thanks so much! I have three girls, ages 3, 7, and 10. I am always working to cultivate a home that is peaceful and honors God, but it can be difficult. I’m hoping God’s word through music can help with this!

    1. Oh Laura, thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so happy, I know your family will be very pleased with your purchase. I so want my home to be the safe place for my friends and family to fall, but you’re right about it being a struggle at times. After listening to the CD a few times, I even found myself humming the songs bringing my own stress and emotions into check. No matter what medium is use, at the end of the day it’s the WORD of GOD and it does not return back void! So I’m excited for you and your girls, I think it will really bless your family as it has ours. 🙂

  7. We try to work on memory verses while we are in the car, just by repeating the phrases after each other – learning the words put to music would be great.

    1. That’s a great idea Lynne! We were originally kinda doing that with memory verses written on notecards (we still do) but the music has been a pleasant change of pace. It takes the pressure off but still helps us commit scripture to memory. I like your car idea though, sometimes it’s the only chance I can get everyone seated in one place! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
